Alasdair Campbell is the Creative Producer of AC PROJECTS. AC PROJECTS will continue the work he established as artistic director of the Tolbooth in Stirling, a post he held for six years, creating a challenging year round programme, commissioning and devising new music projects, curating The Le Weekend Festival of experimental music and creating opportunities for bringing artists together to develop new ways of working in music and the arts in general. Some of the commissions from the last few years have included: Sonic Bed_Scotland with Kaffe Matthews, Clothes Line Saga Blues with Brian Irvine and poet Billy Letford for young people, Big Lung a new work for the organ of The Church of the Holy Rude by David Fennessy, Telescope a sound installation for the Stirling Astronomy Society by Buffalo, Buffalo and Facing the Atlantic looking at Galician and Gaelic cultures with Julie Fowlis. AC PROJECTS is currently involved in delivering N.Ireland’s Artists Take The Lead project NEST involving a 500 strong community choir, The Ulster Youth Orchestra and an installation of around 6,000 objects. He is a fellow of ISPA (The International Society for Performing Arts).
